The Soul Shakers Blues Band formed in early 2007 when four friends got together to “play some blues” in the garage. After several of these get-togethers, it became evident that a “real” band was in the making. With the addition of Cindy Mae Lowder as lead vocalist, the band’s sound really came together, and they began looking at live performance options in the Port Angeles area. The Soul Shakers play a mixture of blues, Motown, funk, and originals. They specialize in taking old blues standards and re-arranging them into something that makes you want to dance. With two lead vocalists and two great lead guitarists, a Souls Shakers performance will always rock the house! All of their music is aimed at getting the audience out of their seats and onto the dance floor. The current line-up features: Cindy Mae Lowder on lead, backing vocals & percussion; Chris Stevens on lead/rhythm guitar & backing vocals; Nathan Rice on drums; Duane Wolfe on bass & backing vocals; and Mike Pace on lead/slide/rhythm guitar, & lead, backing vocals. Over the last year they have made exciting appearances at Castaways Nightclub, Arts In Action, Relay For Life, Olympic Cellars Winery Summer Concert Series, and numerous private parties.
